## Description

**Working Location:** Empire Tower (100% onsite, accessible via BTS Chong Nonsi)

### Role summary

A senior engineer who can pick up any of our payment products and deliver backend features and services end-to-end. You design systems, set the code-quality bar by example, mentor other engineers, and help keep production healthy. Because you may move between products, the ability to learn quickly in an unfamiliar codebase is key.

### Key responsibilities

-   Deliver backend features and services end-to-end — design, build, test, deploy, and monitor — across multiple products.
-   Design APIs and systems (microservices, modular monolith, Domain-Driven Design); own performance and security by default.
-   Review code with meaningful feedback and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
-   Take part in production support / on-call; investigate incidents to root cause and improve reliability.
-   Use AI-native tools (Kiro, GitHub Copilot) and build reusable skills / automation that speed up the team.
-   Contribute to shared libraries, standards, and reusable components.

## Requirements

### Required qualifications & skills

-   5+ years of professional software engineering.
-   Deep hands-on expertise in **C# / .NET and ASP.NET Core** (REST APIs, dependency injection, async).
-   Strong **relational database** skills (SQL Server / MySQL) with EF Core and Dapper.
-   Cloud experience on **AWS** (ECS / EKS, Lambda, S3, SQS, RDS) and **Docker**.
-   Solid grasp of microservices, modular monolith, and Domain-Driven Design; good API design.
-   Automated testing (xUnit + mocking), monitoring / observability, CI/CD, and secure coding; awareness of payment compliance (PCI-DSS).
-   Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools daily.
-   Able to get productive quickly in an unfamiliar codebase.

**Nice to have (one or more)**

-   Payments — card issuing, 3-D Secure / ACS, or payment gateway.
-   Java with jPOS / ISO-8583; Visa / Mastercard host integration.
-   Microsoft Orleans, gRPC, or GraphQL.
-   Applied cryptography / HSM.
-   Messaging / streaming with Kafka.
-   Alternative datastores — OceanBase, DynamoDB, MongoDB.
-   Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
