## Requirements

### _**Outline of key responsibilities as a Roofer/ Builder...**_

-   Carry out all types of **Roofing** and **Building** repairs to both tenanted and vacant properties, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with job tickets, specifications, and Building Regulations.
-   Work with a “Right First Time” approach, completing repairs in one visit wherever possible and maintaining excellent workmanship throughout.
-   Measure and quantify materials needed, ensuring accurate procurement and cost-effective use.
-   Deliver outstanding customer care, protecting tenants’ homes, cleaning up after work, and communicating in a polite, professional, and helpful manner at all times.
-   Undertake risk assessments before starting work to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of yourself, colleagues, tenants, and the public.
-   Diagnose problems effectively and carry out repairs efficiently, making rational use of time and materials.
-   Take responsibility for company vehicles, tools, and materials, keeping them secure, clean, and in good condition, and reporting any defects in line with policy.

### _**We are looking for someone who has…**_

-   **A full UK manual driving licence.**
-   Proven experience working competently across all aspects of roofing and building repairs and maintenance.
-   Experience delivering excellent customer service and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
-   The ability to maximise efficiency by completing repairs in a single visit wherever possible.
-   A sound working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to building and maintenance work.
-   Basic IT and mobile technology skills for managing work orders and communication; strong literacy and numeracy skills for accurate job ticket completion.
-   The ability to multi-skill to a good standard in related trade areas such as plastering.
-   **Ideally, a relevant qualification such as a City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate in Roofing or equivalent (NVQ Level 2 or higher).**

## Benefits

### _**In return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Roofer/ Builder role...**_

-   Starting salary of **£33,758** per annum
-   **Personal use of the company van**
-   27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years’ service) + bank holidays
-   You will work a total of **37 hours per week,** scheduled between 08:00 and 19:30 across any five days from Monday to Saturday. The exact schedule will depend on business needs at the time. However, to give an idea, a **typical working week may be Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00 and Friday from 08:00 to 15:30.** Please note that this is subject to change based on business requirements.
