# BIM Engineer / BIM Modeler (Tekla, SketchUp, Trimble Connect)

## Description

We are looking for a BIM Engineer with hands-on experience in Trimble's construction software suite to join our team. You will create and manage 3D models, produce construction documentation, and coordinate project data across teams using Trimble Connect.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Create detailed 3D structural models using **Tekla Structures**
-   Develop conceptual and design models in **Trimble SketchUp**
-   Produce shop drawings, general arrangement drawings, and material lists from the models
-   Manage project collaboration, file sharing, model reviews, and issue tracking through **Trimble Connect**
-   Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts
-   Ensure models follow project standards, BIM execution plans, and quality requirements
-   Update models and drawings based on design changes and client feedback
-   Maintain accurate documentation and version control of project files

### Required Qualifications

-   Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related field
-   **2-3 years** of practical experience in BIM modeling or detailing
-   Hands-on experience with **Tekla Structures**, **SketchUp**, and **Trimble Connect**
-   Understanding of BIM workflows, model coordination, and clash detection
-   Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings
-   Good attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
-   **Fluent English** (written and spoken)

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience with steel or concrete detailing
-   Knowledge of IFC and other BIM exchange formats
-   Familiarity with other tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
-   Experience with the Tekla Open API or SketchUp extensions (a plus, not a requirement)
