## Description

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the African Quality Assurance Centre Holding Company, which manages a network of laboratories and quality assurance facilities across the continent. The CEO is responsible for driving growth, ensuring compliance with international standards, fostering innovation, and positioning the company as a trusted partner in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services.

### Strategic Leadership

·       Define and implement the company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategy across Africa.

·       Expand laboratory operations into new regions and industries (healthcare, food, environment, industrial testing).

·       Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

·       Represent the company at regional and international forums, strengthening its reputation.

·       Position AQAC as the default conformity partner for African exports.

### Financial Management

·       Deliver sustainable revenue growth and profitability across subsidiaries.

·       Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and capital allocation.

·       Ensure strong cash flow and financial resilience.

·       Optimize return on investment (ROI) across diverse business units.

### Operational Excellence

·       Standardize processes across laboratories to ensure efficiency, consistency and uniform quality outcome all countries of operation.

·       Drive digital transformation (LIMS, automation and data integrity systems) across laboratories.

·       Implement best practices in quality assurance and risk management.

·       Foster synergies through shared services, procurement, and R&D.

### Compliance & Risk Management

·       Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations in host countries and international standards required by export markets.

·       Oversee accreditation to ISO/IEC standards and sector specific schemes.

·       Ensure all non-conformances raised during internal and external audits are addressed with corrective and preventative actions implemented within statutory and accreditation timeframes.

·       Maintain strong governance and ethical standards.

·       Champion health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) by designing and enforcing integrated management systems across all subsidiaries and laboratories.

### Customer & Market Development

·       Build strong relationships with governments, multinational corporations, and local industries.

·       Enhance customer satisfaction and retention through service excellence.

·       Expand market share in strategic sectors (agriculture, oil & gas, consumer goods and others).

·       Position of the company as Africa’s leading quality assurance provider.

### Innovation & R&D

·       Invest in new technologies and services to maintain competitive advantage.

·       Encourage innovation across subsidiaries and regional labs.

·       Support development of sustainability-focused testing solutions.

·       Drive collaboration with universities, research institutions, and industry leaders.

### Human Capital & Culture

·       Lead and inspire a diverse workforce across multiple African countries.

·       Develop leadership succession plans for subsidiary CEOs and senior managers.

·       Promote employee engagement, retention, and continuous training.

## Requirements

·       Advanced degree in public health, medicine, biomedical/ laboratory sciences, business management or a related field.

·       Proven track record as CEO, COO, or senior executive in TIC, healthcare, or industrial services.

·       Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-country operations.

·       Deep understanding of laboratory operations, compliance, and accreditation standards.

·       Experience in African markets and global business management.

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

·       Advanced degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.

·       Minimum of 15 years in a senior executive leadership role within TIC, healthcare, or industrial services.
