## Description

African Safari Group (ASG) is looking for a highly energetic, organised and detail-oriented Training & Development Associate to join our growing Training & Development team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the realities of luxury safari and high-end travel **sales** and who enjoys developing people, facilitating training and working in a fast-paced environment where processes, systems and technology are constantly evolving.

You will work closely with the Training & Development Manager to deliver ASG's Sales Consultant induction programme, support ongoing development, assess trainee performance and ensure our training materials and systems remain current.

### What you will be doing

-   Deliver ASG's 4-week Sales Consultant Induction Course and ongoing refresher workshops.
-   Facilitate engaging, practical training that prepares new consultants for the ASG sales environment.
-   Use AI-enhanced learning tools, including NotebookLM, mind maps, flashcards and interactive quizzes.
-   Coach and mentor trainees to achieve the required competency standards.
-   Maintain and share expert knowledge of ASG's software, internal processes, policies and luxury safari products across South Africa, Southern Africa and East Africa.
-   Keep training manuals, presentations and learning resources accurate and up to date as company processes change.
-   Manage training content within LMS Tutor Pro, WordPress/Elementor and Google Workspace.
-   Mark assessments, quizzes and practical tasks with a high level of accuracy and maintain trainee performance records.
-   Analyse trainee Test Leads and Live Leads to assess their practical application of ASG's processes and procedures.
-   Identify knowledge gaps and provide targeted one-on-one remedial coaching.
-   Prepare weekly trainee progress reports and provide objective feedback to the Training & Development Manager.
-   Assist with the administration and coordination of external training initiatives.
-   Support research and the implementation of new AI-driven training initiatives.
-   Provide general administrative support within the Training & Development department when required.

## Requirements

You should have:

-   At least 3 years' experience in luxury safari or high-end travel, with proven experience across the sales cycle.
-   Strong practical understanding of the luxury travel/safari sales environment.
-   Excellent spoken and written English.
-   Impeccable Google Workspace skills.
-   Experience with LMS platforms and preferably LMS Tutor Pro and WordPress/Elementor.
-   Confidence using AI tools and an interest in applying AI to learning and development.
-   Exceptional attention to detail and organisational ability.
-   The ability to confidently facilitate training and communicate information in an engaging and professional way.
-   The ability to adapt quickly as processes, systems and technology change.
-   A positive, energetic personality with the ability to motivate others.
-   A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in helping people develop.

### This role will suit someone who...

You are not someone who simply wants to present training material.

You understand luxury safari sales, you know what good client communication looks like, and you can recognise when a trainee understands something in theory but cannot yet apply it practically.

You are comfortable being hands-on — facilitating a classroom, reviewing a trainee's work, correcting mistakes, updating a training document, analysing performance data or learning a new AI tool.

You are also highly organised and understand that in a fast-growing business, accuracy, deadlines and version control matter.
