## Description

**Job Brief**

_Responsible for installing and maintaining electrical power and repairing any equipment or device that involves electricity_  

**Your Responsibilities**

-   Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
-   Diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
-   Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
-   Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous
-   Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes
-   Maintain records and files, prepare reports, and maintain supplies and equipment
-   Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, flares, etc.

## Requirements

**Your Qualifications**

-   Diploma or Bachelors’ degree in electrical or related field
-   Relevant certifications
-   Minimum 5 years’ experience as an electrician

**Your Proficiencies**

-   Use of tools and equipment such as measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps
-   Ability to read electrical drawings
-   Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
-   Communication skills
