## Description

Ethos Intelligence is building a new category of safe, ethical AI for schools and education organizations. The platform helps educators and students use AI productively while preserving trust, safety, and alignment with school needs.

Ethos is live in early school and education-organization deployments. The company is now moving from founder-led product development and pilot relationships toward repeatable customer acquisition, implementation, adoption, and growth.

Ethos Intelligence is seeking a General Manager & Head of Growth to own the company's next stage of commercial growth and operating execution.

Reporting to and working closely with the founders, this leader will own Ethos's commercial and operating plan, including go-to-market execution, customer acquisition, implementation, customer success, marketing, growth strategy, and company operating cadence. The founders will continue to steward the mission, product vision, and major strategic direction. This leader will have clear decision authority over agreed commercial priorities, budgets, team design, and execution.

This role is ideal for a SaaS operator who knows how to turn an emerging product and strong market thesis into a repeatable growth engine.

**Operating Leadership & Cadence**

- Own the company operating cadence across commercial and customer-facing functions
- Run weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews around growth, customer health, implementation progress, and launch readiness
- Ensure clear priorities, accountability, and execution discipline across teams
- Coordinate with product and engineering leadership to align commercial needs with development priorities
- Help the company mature from founder-led execution into a durable operating system

**Go-to-Market & Commercialization**

- Own the growth plan across acquisition, activation, adoption, retention, and expansion
- Build and refine the go-to-market strategy across target customer segments
- Establish pricing, packaging, pipeline discipline, and growth KPIs
- Develop repeatable customer acquisition and expansion motions across direct, partner, and self-serve channels as appropriate

**Sales & Market Development**

- Stand up and manage the sales operating system, including pipeline management, forecasting, CRM discipline, and sales process
- Recruit, lead, and develop early sales talent and external commercial resources
- Improve conversion from interest to implementation through better qualification, messaging, and follow-through
- Help define market sequencing, ideal customer profiles, and new channels that accelerate adoption

**Implementation & Customer Success**

- Build scalable onboarding, implementation, and activation systems
- Ensure customers are successfully deployed and supported
- Create a customer success function that drives adoption, satisfaction, retention, and expansion
- Translate customer complaints, questions, and usage patterns into operational and product improvements
- Establish support workflows, escalation pathways, and service expectations

**Marketing & Demand Generation**

- Lead the commercialization side of marketing in close coordination with internal and external partners
- Ensure brand, PR, content, campaigns, and demand generation are aligned to growth goals
- Help sharpen product positioning, category messaging, and customer-facing narratives
- Build a demand-generation engine that supports customer acquisition, usage, and expansion

## Requirements

The ideal candidate is a SaaS operator with deep growth, commercialization, and go-to-market experience. This person has likely served as a GM, Head of Growth, President, or senior business leader in an early-stage or scaling software company, ideally in edtech or another trust-heavy, stakeholder-heavy environment.

**Experience**

- Significant leadership experience in SaaS growth, go-to-market, commercialization, or general management roles
- Track record of building or scaling a repeatable growth engine in an early-stage or growth-stage company
- Experience leading across sales, customer success, implementation, and marketing
- Strong understanding of commercialization in complex customer environments
- Demonstrated ability to hire, manage, and align cross-functional teams
- Comfort working closely with founders and operating with high accountability in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel regularly — early on primarily to RDI/CSUSA corporate offices and school sites for training and onboarding, transitioning to travel for new account generation, client visits, and conferences as the role matures

**Strongly Preferred**

- Experience in edtech, K-12, or school-facing software
- Experience with adoption-led or product-led growth motions, not just contract-led enterprise selling
- Experience in markets where trust, compliance, safety, or public scrutiny matter
- Familiarity with customer segments such as charter networks, private schools, school systems, or education organizations
- Experience helping position a company for strategic investment, partnership, or acquisition

**Personal Characteristics**

- Highly accountable and execution-oriented
- Commercially ambitious and growth-minded
- Decisive, organized, and comfortable with ambiguity
- Strong communicator with the ability to create alignment across founders, teams, and external partners
- Able to move fluidly between strategy and execution
- Focused on customer adoption and measurable results

## Benefits

Compensation will be competitive and will include a mix of base salary, performance-based incentives, and the potential for long-term upside aligned to value creation, including potential equity participation.
