## Description

**1\. Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Activities**

-   Perform planned preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities on assigned mechanical equipment.
-   Carry out daily inspections, running checks, and maintenance checklists in accordance with approved maintenance schedules.
-   Monitor the physical condition of equipment and report abnormalities, non-conformances, and developing defects to the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
-   Troubleshoot mechanical failures using approved tools, drawings, manuals, and diagnostic techniques to identify the cause and carry out necessary repairs.
-   Perform dismantling, inspection, cleaning, repair, replacement, reassembly, alignment, and functional testing of mechanical equipment and components.
-   Replace defective parts such as bearings, seals, gaskets, O-rings, gland packing, couplings, bolts, filters, strainers, belts, and lubrication-system components.
-   Perform adjustment, alignment, tightening, lubrication, greasing, oil top-up, oil changing, and cleaning activities in accordance with approved procedures.
-   Identify and report corrosion, cracks, leaks, overheating, vibration, abnormal noise, misalignment, loose bolts, damaged insulation, and other equipment defects.
-   Ensure the working area is clean, safe, and properly restored after completion of maintenance activities.

v  Support maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical equipment including, but not limited to:

-   Siemens 9000HL-Class gas turbine auxiliaries, including lube oil, hydraulic oil, fuel gas, inlet air, ventilation, and turning gear systems.
-   Steam turbine auxiliaries, including lube oil, gland steam, seal oil, condensate, cooling, and turning gear systems.
-   Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), including drums, valves, blowdown systems, expansion joints, and associated auxiliary equipment.
-   Pumps, including boiler feedwater pumps, condensate extraction pumps, closed cooling water pumps, service water pumps, fire water pumps, fuel oil pumps, chemical dosing pumps, and drainage pumps.
-   Compressors, blowers, fans, air handling units, ventilation fans, and instrument/service air compressor systems.
-   Valves, including gate, globe, check, control, safety Valves.
-   Water treatment, reverse osmosis, condensate polishing, chemical dosing, wastewater treatment, and other balance-of-plant mechanical equipment.

**2\. Inspection, Testing, and Troubleshooting**

-   Conduct routine inspections and condition assessments of assigned mechanical equipment.
-   Use approved maintenance and diagnostic tools such as vibration meters, infrared thermometers, laser alignment tools, dial gauges, feeler gauges, torque wrenches, pressure gauges, vernier calipers, and micrometers.
-   Assist in vibration monitoring, alignment checks, bearing inspections, pump performance checks, valve testing, pressure testing, leak testing, and functional testing.
-   Record inspection findings, test readings, equipment condition, defects identified, and maintenance work completed.
-   Assist in identifying the root cause of equipment failures and support implementation of corrective actions.
-   Monitor repeated failures and report recommendations for repair, modification, replacement, or maintenance-plan improvement.
-   Support basic welding, fabrication, and workshop repair activities.
-   Participate in planned shutdowns, major outages, overhauls, commissioning activities, warranty works, and emergency repairs.

**3\. Safety, Permit-to-Work, and Compliance**

-   Follow all applicable safety rules, permit-to-work requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, confined-space-entry requirements, lifting procedures, and site safety standards.
-   Verify that equipment is properly isolated, depressurized, drained, vented, cooled down, and released for maintenance before starting work.
-   Use required personal protective equipment, approved tools, lifting equipment, and safety devices at all times.
-   Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, safety observations, hazard reporting, audits, and incident investigations.
-   Immediately report unsafe conditions, leaks, damaged tools, lifting hazards, near misses, and incidents.
-   Follow environmental and waste-management requirements, including proper identification, handling, segregation, and disposal of waste materials.
-   Ensure maintenance work complies with approved site procedures, OEM requirements, quality standards, and EHS requirements.

**4\. Documentation and CMMS Support**

-   Complete maintenance checklists, inspection sheets, work completion records, test reports, and defect reports accurately.
-   Provide clear feedback to the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer regarding work completed, materials used, defects found, and follow-up actions required.
-   Support work-order completion, man-hour recording, and equipment-history updates in the CMMS.

**5\. Spare Parts, Tools, and Housekeeping**

-   Review assigned work orders and identify the required spare parts, consumables, tools, lifting equipment, and test instruments before starting work.
-   Check availability of spare parts and coordinate with the warehouse storekeeper for material collection and return.
-   Maintain mechanical hand tools, power tools, lifting tools, portable test instruments, and workshop equipment in good working condition.
-   Report shortages of spare parts, consumables, special tools, and defective equipment to the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
-   Maintain good housekeeping in workshops, equipment areas, stores, and maintenance locations.

**6\. Coordination, Training, and Continuous Improvement**

-   Work closely with Mechanical Maintenance Engineers, Operations personnel, Electrical and I&C teams, contractors, OEM representatives, and other site personnel.
-   Support Operations during equipment isolation, release for maintenance, testing, start-up, and return-to-service activities.
-   Assist other departments in troubleshooting and repair activities when required.
-   Support training and mentoring of junior technicians,, and newly joined maintenance personnel.

Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives, maintenance improvement programs, 5S activities, and hazard-reporting programs.

## Requirements

**Education**

-   Mechanical Diploma, Mechanical Technology, or an equivalent discipline.
-   Mechanical trade certifications is preferred.
-   Training in rigging, lifting operations, Forklift operator, and safety courses is an advantage.

**Experience**

-   Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a power plant, heavy industrial facility, oil and gas plant, desalination plant, petrochemical plant. Combined cycle power plant experience is preferred.

**Technical Knowledge**

-   Knowledge of mechanical systems used in combined cycle power plants.
-   Knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG systems, pumps, valves, compressors, fans, blowers, heat exchangers, filters, strainers, and piping systems.
-   Understanding of lube oil, hydraulic oil, fuel gas, fuel oil, cooling water, condensate, boiler feedwater, compressed air, and water-treatment systems.
-   Knowledge of rotating-equipment maintenance practices, including bearing inspection, lubrication, seal replacement, coupling alignment, and vibration awareness.
-   Familiarity with valve maintenance, including gland packing, seat leakage, Lapping, and basic valve overhaul activities.
-   Understanding of lifting and rigging, torque tightening, mechanical assembly, and use of lifting tools.
-   Knowledge of permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, confined-space entry, lifting operations, and general mechanical safety requirements.

**Practical Skills**

-   Ability to use maintenance diagnostic tools such as vibration meters, infrared thermometers, pressure gauges, and tachometers.
-   Basic computer skills for CMMS andwork-order updates, maintenance records, and reporting.
-   Good working knowledge of written and spoken English.
-   Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.
-   Willingness to work during planned outages, emergency breakdowns, shift duties, and on-call assignments when required
