## Description

We are seeking a motivated **Project Engineer** to support the delivery of commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams, this role will assist with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, procurement, and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

-   Support Project Managers with planning and execution of commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
-   Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, transmittals, procurement logs, and project documentation.
-   Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and scopes of work.
-   Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors.
-   Track material procurement, equipment deliveries, long-lead items, and project milestones.
-   Assist with scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, billing, and financial reporting.
-   Participate in project meetings, site visits, and coordination meetings.
-   Work with estimating and BIM/VDC teams to support constructability and project coordination.
-   Maintain organized project files, meeting minutes, correspondence, and document control.
-   Assist with material takeoffs, procurement planning, commissioning, logistics, and project closeout.
-   Help identify and resolve scheduling, procurement, and field coordination issues.
-   Support compliance with project requirements, company standards, and safety objectives.

## Requirements

-   **2+ years of experience in commercial construction, project engineering, or electrical construction.**
-   Experience with a commercial electrical contractor or specialty electrical subcontractor is preferred.
-   Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, installation methods, sequencing, and field operations.
-   Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and construction documentation.
-   Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and schedules.
-   Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
-   Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
-   Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the Detroit metropolitan area.
-   Experience with healthcare, higher education, institutional, manufacturing, industrial, or other complex commercial projects is a plus.
