# Project Manager - Commercial Electrical Construction

## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Project Manager** to lead commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role will oversee project schedules, budgets, field coordination, procurement, client relationships, and overall project performance.

The ideal candidate has a strong background with a **self-performing commercial electrical contractor** and can effectively manage multiple complex projects while coordinating with field teams, general contractors, clients, and internal departments. Experience with healthcare, higher education, institutional, manufacturing, or other large-scale commercial projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

-   Manage commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through completion.
-   Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
-   Monitor project financials, including labor productivity, billing, change orders, forecasting, and profitability.
-   Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors.
-   Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
-   Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, commissioning, closeout, and project turnover.
-   Coordinate with estimating and preconstruction teams during project handoff.
-   Work with BIM/VDC teams on constructability, coordination, and installation planning.
-   Lead project meetings and communicate progress with owners, architects, engineers, and leadership.
-   Identify project risks and resolve scheduling, budget, and field issues.
-   Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project partners.
-   Ensure projects meet company, contractual, quality, and safety standards.

## Requirements

-   **5+ years of project management experience with a commercial electrical contractor.**
-   **Experience with a self-performing commercial electrical contractor is required.**
-   Proven experience managing commercial electrical projects from preconstruction through closeout.
-   Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, installation methods, sequencing, and field operations.
-   Experience managing project schedules, budgets, procurement, labor planning, forecasting, billing, and financial performance.
-   Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
-   Experience working with estimating, preconstruction, and BIM/VDC teams.
-   Proficiency with construction project management software and Microsoft Office.
-   Strong leadership, communication, organization, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
-   Experience with healthcare, hospitals, higher education, institutional, manufacturing, or other complex commercial projects is preferred.
