## Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for our healthcare, institutional, and commercial construction projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role with direct ownership of project pursuits from early conceptual budgeting through final bid submission and turnover to operations. You will perform and validate quantity takeoffs, develop detailed cost estimates, manage subcontractor outreach, evaluate bid coverage, identify project risks, and help establish competitive pursuit strategies.

Our company has a strong backlog of healthcare, institutional, and commercial work throughout the region. This position will play an important role in securing new projects, improving estimating accuracy, protecting profitability, and supporting our continued growth.

**Responsibilities**

-   Lead conceptual, schematic, design-development, GMP, and final bid estimates for healthcare and commercial projects
-   Perform and validate quantity takeoffs, develop detailed pricing, and review architectural, structural, civil, and MEP scopes
-   Solicit subcontractor and supplier bids, level proposals, identify missing scope, and confirm complete bid coverage
-   Develop value engineering options, bid clarifications, cost-saving recommendations, and risk assessments
-   Participate in client meetings, site visits, pre-bid discussions, and pursuit strategy reviews
-   Complete a detailed turnover of awarded projects to Project Managers, Superintendents, and operations teams

## Requirements

-   8+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience with a commercial general contractor
-   Direct experience estimating hospitals, medical facilities, healthcare renovations, or occupied healthcare projects
-   Proven ability to independently manage an estimate from initial drawings through final proposal
-   Strong knowledge of subcontractor solicitation, scope leveling, trade coverage, general conditions, and construction costs
-   Ability to identify design gaps, constructability issues, schedule risks, escalation exposure, and pricing concerns
-   Proficiency with estimating and digital takeoff software, along with advanced Excel skills
