# Construction Project Manager - Drywall, Acoustical & Flooring

## Description

We are seeking an experienced **Construction Project Manager** to oversee commercial interior construction projects from contract award through final closeout.

The ideal candidate has a strong background managing **commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, flooring, and related interior finishes**. This role will oversee scheduling, budgeting, procurement, field coordination, project financials, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

-   Manage commercial interior construction projects from contract award through completion and final closeout.
-   Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and execution strategies.
-   Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope documents to confirm requirements and identify potential issues.
-   Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, general contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
-   Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, labor productivity, billing, cost control, and profitability.
-   Manage **RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, pay applications**, and other project documentation.
-   Coordinate materials, equipment, and long-lead items to maintain project schedules.
-   Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.
-   Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, general contractors, and internal teams.
-   Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to minimize delays, cost overruns, and quality issues.
-   Support field operations by ensuring crews have the materials, information, and resources needed for efficient execution.
-   Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoffs and execution.
-   Oversee punch-list completion, warranty items, project turnover, and final closeout.
-   Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

## Requirements

-   **3+ years of Project Management experience in commercial interior construction.**
-   **Experience managing drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, commercial flooring, or related interior finish projects is required.**
-   Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
-   Proven ability to manage projects from startup through final closeout.
-   Experience with budgeting, forecasting, procurement, billing, labor management, change orders, and cost control.
-   Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
-   Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, general contractors, and clients.
-   Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
-   Proficiency with **Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project**, or similar construction management software preferred.
-   High school diploma or equivalent required.
-   Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
