## Description

We’re seeking an experienced BIM Modeler / Electrical Detailer to develop coordinated 3D models and construction drawings for commercial electrical projects. The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical construction experience and advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. This role works closely with project management, engineering, estimating, prefabrication, and field teams to resolve design conflicts, improve constructability, and deliver accurate, installation-ready models.

### Responsibilities

-   Create, maintain, and revise detailed BIM models for commercial electrical construction projects.
-   Model electrical systems and components, including conduit runs, cable trays, electrical equipment, supports, sleeves, penetrations, and associated installations.
-   Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, installation layouts, spool drawings, and prefabrication documentation.
-   Perform clash detection and coordinate electrical systems with structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, architectural, and other building systems.
-   Review electrical plans, specifications, contracts, and design models to identify discrepancies, design conflicts, and installation challenges.
-   Participate in BIM/VDC coordination meetings and work with project stakeholders to resolve clashes and technical issues.
-   Update models to reflect approved RFIs, submittals, design modifications, and field changes.
-   Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Superintendents, Foremen, and field crews throughout the project lifecycle.
-   Develop practical, accurate, and coordinated models that support efficient installation and prefabrication.
-   Provide modeling, layout, and drawing assistance to field teams during construction.
-   Evaluate constructability and recommend improvements to installation methods, sequencing, and field productivity.
-   Maintain model accuracy and incorporate revisions as construction progresses.
-   Support the preparation of as-built drawings and final BIM model deliverables.
-   Ensure all models and drawings comply with project specifications, coordination standards, and company requirements.

## Requirements

-   3+ years of experience as a BIM Modeler, Electrical Detailer, VDC Designer, Electrical Revit Modeler, or in a comparable role.
-   **Commercial electrical construction experience is required.**
-   Demonstrated ability to develop BIM models for commercial electrical systems.
-   Advanced proficiency in **Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks**.
-   Strong knowledge of electrical construction components and installation methods, including conduit routing, cable tray systems, electrical equipment, supports, sleeves, and penetrations.
-   Hands-on experience with BIM/VDC workflows, clash detection, and coordination across multiple construction trades.
-   Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, architectural plans, specifications, and other construction documents.
-   Thorough understanding of electrical constructability, installation sequencing, and field requirements.
-   Ability to convert design concepts into coordinated, practical models and drawings suitable for installation.
-   Experience with prefabrication processes and spool drawing preparation is preferred.
-   Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality models and documentation.
-   Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
-   Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in BIM, drafting, electrical design, or a related field is preferred.
