# Surveys & Community Research Methodologist (Public Sector) > AlphaHire · United States (Remote) · — · Posted 2026-09-23 **Workplace:** remote ## Description AlphaGov is seeking a Surveys & Community Research Methodologist for project-based engagements with cities, counties, school systems, transit agencies, and related public employers. You will design and deliver resident surveys, stakeholder engagement research, and service-satisfaction studies — producing credible samples, instruments, analysis, and actionable findings. This is survey methodology and applied community research, not marketing polls, political canvassing, or pure facilitation/OD without research design. What you'll do: \- Design survey sampling frames, instruments, and fielding plans for public clients \- Oversee or advise on mode strategy (web, mail, phone, intercept) and response-rate improvement \- Analyze survey data with appropriate weighting and uncertainty; write clear findings reports \- Support stakeholder engagement research that produces usable evidence for service design or policy \- Present results to boards, councils, and agency leadership \- Contribute survey/community-research technical content to AlphaGov proposals ## Requirements - Required: - \- 5+ years survey methodology, public opinion research, or community/stakeholder research (government, university survey center, or public consulting) - \- Lead or senior role on at least two completed public-sector or community surveys (agency/client, your role, year) - \- Strong questionnaire design and quantitative analysis skills - \- Clear writing and presentation for non-technical audiences Nice to have: \- AAPOR or similar survey credentials \- Experience with hard-to-reach or multilingual populations \- Mixed-methods (survey + focus groups/interviews) \- Transit rider, utility customer, or school-community survey experience ## Apply [Apply at AlphaHire](https://apply.workable.com/alphax/j/E6B697A657/apply) --- Powered by [Workable](https://www.workable.com)
