- Serve as the **Engineer of Record**, providing technical leadership throughout design and construction.
- Coordinate mechanical system designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction-phase documentation.
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction observations as required.
- Resolve design and constructability challenges by developing practical engineering solutions.
- Support commissioning, inspections, punch-list activities, and project closeout.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, client requirements, and engineering best practices.
- Maintain a high standard of technical accuracy, quality, and documentation throughout project delivery.

## Requirements

- Active **Professional Engineer (PE)** license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience; 10+ years preferred.
- Proven experience designing HVAC and MEP systems for commercial and institutional buildings.
- Experience with healthcare, municipal, institutional, veterinary, or other complex facility types is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, mechanical codes, energy efficiency principles, and engineering best practices.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar mechanical design software.
- Ability to independently develop, review, and seal engineering drawings and calculations.
- Excellent technical, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and architectural teams.
- Hands-on HVAC and mechanical system design experience is required.
- Candidates whose experience is primarily project management without significant engineering design responsibilities will not be considered.
