# Marine Personnel Officer (MPO) MHR

## Description

-   Plans relief schedules for onboard seafarer’s 3-months in advance of contract completion and assigns seafarers available for joining.
-   Discusses seafarer appraisal reports with Fleet Manager for recommendations for any additional training, briefing or certification prior assigning.
-   Prepares seafarers assignment checklists for approval prior starting with pre-joining preparations.
-   Follow ups with seafarers to plan their pre-joining preparation and training to ensure that relief schedules are executed as per plan and seafarers are travel ready with complete and proper joiner’s documentations well before the contract expiry of seafarers onboard.
-   Coordinates travel bookings, dispatch and communication with vessels, ship managers and agents.
-   Seeks FM approval for proceeding with crew change and approval for costs where flight cost is over the budgeted cost or crew agency cost is on a higher than average.
-   Checks contracts and other joining documents for correctness and completeness prior sending to President and Operations Manager for processing.

## Requirements

-   Education: 4-year course graduate, business or maritime preferred
-   Experience: at least 4 years experience as Crewing staff or equivalent in manning company required
-   2 years experience as MPO or Crewing Officer is required
-   Willing to report to work 5 days per week in our Asean Office
