## Description

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on **Manufacturing Engineering Intern** to support Anthro’s mission to revolutionize the shape of energy storage. The intern will contribute to the design, improvement, and documentation of key manufacturing processes and equipment used in battery production.

**Responsibilities**

-   Design and execute equipment modification engineering projects
-   Support development and standardization of **SOPs, Work Instructions, and Recipes** for manufacturing processes
-   Perform equipment setup, testing, and troubleshooting
-   Analyze process data to identify improvement opportunities in throughput, safety, and reliability
-   Collaborate with operations, equipment, and R&D teams to implement and validate process changes
-   Thoroughly document technical work and communicate updates to the broader team
-   Comply with all safety and quality standards within the manufacturing environment
-   Work collaboratively and flexibly in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team

**Preferred Skills**

-   Experience with pneumatic or fluid systems (e.g., gas purge or dispense systems)
-   Exposure to automation, PLCs, or control logic
-   Familiarity with lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies
-   Hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, or test setups in a lab or manufacturing setting
-   Data analysis skills (Excel, Python, or similar)

## Requirements

-   Pursuing an **Undergraduate or Master’s degree** in **Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering**, or a related field
-   Strong interest in hands-on process development, manufacturing systems, or automation
-   Basic understanding of mechanical systems, sensors, and process control concepts
-   Experience with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and/or process simulation tools preferred
-   Familiarity with documentation practices (SOPs, Work Instructions, technical drawings)
-   Comfortable with mechanical fabrication, prototyping, or lab equipment setup
-   Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organization skills
-   Ability to work independently and as part of a small, agile team
-   U.S. Citizen or already eligible to work in the U.S.
