## Description

Apogee Global RMS is partnering with a rapidly scaling organization seeking an experienced **Fractional CISO** **Executive** to elevate their security posture, strengthen governance, and guide the company through its next phase of growth. The ideal leader brings strategic clarity, operational maturity, and the ability to build a security foundation that scales.

**Role Overview**

The Fractional CISO will serve as the organization’s senior‑most security executive, responsible for defining, maturing, and executing the enterprise security strategy. This role is suited for a seasoned cybersecurity leader who can operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels, advising executives while building practical, right‑sized controls.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the current security posture and identify critical gaps
-   Develop and implement a scalable, long‑term security roadmap aligned with business growth
-   Establish and mature governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2, etc.)
-   Oversee incident response readiness, threat monitoring, and escalation protocols
-   Advise executive leadership on risk prioritization, security investments, and tooling
-   Partner with engineering, IT, HR, and operations to embed a security‑first culture
-   Provide clear, executive‑level reporting on risks, controls, and strategic recommendations
-   Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance initiatives as needed

## Requirements

-   Proven 8-10 plus years of experience as a CISO, vCISO, or senior cybersecurity executive
-   Demonstrated success building and maturing security programs in scaling organizations
-   Deep expertise in GRC, risk management, and security architecture
-   Strong ability to anticipate threats and implement proactive controls
-   Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical risk into business impact
-   Experience advising executive teams and influencing cross‑functional decision‑making
