### About the team

You will be joining a team that is part of the largest strategic transformation in the companies history, developing greenfield target state technology and innovative solutions for over 4 million customers.

You will be part of an autonomous Product team grouped with several other teams under a common Fintech domain which includes Energy Trading, Payments and Exports. You will be working alongside teammates in Lithuania, while also collaborating with colleagues in the UK.

### What You’ll be doing

You will be a key member of an agile engineering team, working on strategic projects including helping to build API-first services that form part of a new target architecture. You will have the opportunity to contribute towards building and scaling customer products and services, collaborating with other Engineering and Mobile, DevOps and Data teams.

While the primary language is Scala, You'll have an opportunity to learn other languages such as TypeScript and Node. You'll engage with cutting edge technologies and utilize CI/CD pipelines built with Terraform and Kubernetes on GCP. You'll navigate complex challenges and drive development process improvements, working with your team to achieve common objectives. ### Requirements

-   Strong experience in backend or full-stack development
-   Strong knowledge of Scala
-   Experience with the Typelevel stack (we use Cats, Cats-Effect, Http4s, FS2)
-   Experience with Kafka or/and Event-based architecture
-   Experience or interest in Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
-   Experience using a cloud-native development approach with GCP or AWS
-   Exposure to implementing and consuming APIs
-   Proven experience in a fast-paced growth environment
-   Passion for product and user experience, along with strong commercial thinking.
-   Willing to own code from development to production
-   Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial
-   Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
