**About the Role**

The purpose of this consultancy is to provide structured physical fitness training and foundational health education to female personnel within the Special Forces. The consultant will support the enhancement of physical readiness, endurance, and overall well-being through regular training sessions and targeted instructional modules on nutrition and basic anatomy. Experience working with female personnel in a culturally sensitive environment is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to deliver training in a respectful and culturally appropriate manner.

**What you'll be doing**

-   Deliver physical fitness training sessions at the Special Forces base four times per week, focusing on strength, endurance, mobility, and overall fitness.
-   Conduct morning training sessions for available personnel, adapting content to varying fitness levels and attendance.
-   Design and implement structured and progressive training plans tailored to operational needs.
-   Ensure safe training practices, including proper warm-up, technique, and injury prevention.
-   Monitor participant progress and adapt sessions accordingly.
-   Deliver a one-week instructional module (45 minutes per session) covering: Basic nutrition principles for performance and well-being.
-   Introduction to human anatomy relevant to physical training.
-   Practical guidance on maintaining fitness and health.
-   Foster a supportive and inclusive training environment that encourages participation and consistency.
-   Maintain professional standards, discipline, and cultural sensitivity in a security-focused setting.

Deliverables: 

-   Delivery of four weekly fitness training sessions.
-   Delivery of a one-week nutrition and anatomy module.
-   Informal feedback on participant engagement and progress.

Level of Effort: 

-   Four sessions per week (morning sessions).
-   One additional week of daily 45-minute classroom-based sessions.

## Requirements

-   Preferably previous experience working with military, law enforcement, or special forces personnel, particularly in structured or high-discipline environments.
-   Experience delivering fitness training to female participants or in gender-sensitive settings.
-   Knowledge of injury prevention, rehabilitation, and recovery techniques.
-   Demonstrated ability to design progressive training programmes tailored to varying fitness levels.
-   Experience delivering basic nutrition and health education, including anatomy fundamentals.
-   Strong understanding of operational fitness requirements (endurance, strength, mobility under load).
-   Relevant professional certifications (e.g. strength & conditioning, personal training, sports science, or equivalent).
-   Experience working in international or culturally diverse environments, with high cultural awareness.
-   Ability to adapt training delivery in resource-constrained or variable attendance settings.
-   Prior experience in capacity building, including mentoring or upskilling local counterparts for sustainability.
-   Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage participants consistently.
