> Arondite · Oslo, Norway (Hybrid) · Full-time · Posted 2026-08-25

**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** Deployment

## Description

Arondite is a defence technology company building the foundational software and AI to power the autonomous age. Our aim is to revolutionise the way organisations collaborate with robots, sensors and autonomous systems and use the data they generate. We are driven by our determination to help defend our collective democratic values and by our strong belief that an elite group of engineers can make a big difference. We are ambitious, well-funded and building for the long term.

**You will join Arondite at a pivotal moment in the company’s journey.** Our company is being built by exceptional engineers and operators: people who find high-impact, technically challenging work engaging and exciting, and who consistently deliver outsized impact. You will collaborate with other brilliant minds to solve some of the world’s hardest and most important problems.

**You will have ownership and autonomy from day one.** There is no corporate ladder at Arondite. From your first day, you will directly influence the design, functionality and direction of Arondite’s product offering. We hire the best people and give them extremely high levels of autonomy; the ceiling is high for someone with the right ambition.

If you are motivated by our mission and want to be part of a growing team of outstanding people, we want to hear from you.

### About the role:

We are expanding into Norway as part of our next phase of growth. \[Oslo\] is the proposed base for this effort because of its proximity to key customer organisations, but it is likely that this role will need to travel across Norway to meet potential customers and users.

Our initial objective is to establish a trusted route into this relationship-driven market and create an early strategic go-to-market motion for Cobalt, while retaining the option to build a broader Norwegian office if the opportunity justifies it.

Arondite is looking for a mission-driven Deployment Strategist to lead the planning and execution of implementing our technology with customers and partners in Norway. You will be responsible, end-to-end, for helping ensure we solve real-world problems that matter to users. You will work closely with operators, technical stakeholders and partner organisations to ensure our systems are deployed effectively, safely and with maximum operational impact.

This role is especially important in Norway because the opportunity is not just to deliver software, but to help customers understand how heterogeneous autonomous systems, sensors and platforms can interoperate under a unified command-and-control approach. In practical terms, that means helping shape early demonstrations, trials, pilot deployments and integration discussions in contexts relevant to Norwegian and NATO operations.

This role requires significant travel, often in demanding operational or trial environments. You will need to be adaptable, resilient and comfortable working under pressure. You will need a deep understanding of both technical systems and operational realities. As one of Arondite’s first deployment hires focused on Norway, you will have the opportunity to shape our product offering, solve real-world problems that directly affect end users and help define how Arondite works in the Norwegian market.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to translate field insight into product direction. The problems we are solving are technically ambitious, so you do not need to build the product yourself every day, but you do need to understand complex technical systems, communicate clearly with both users and engineers, and contribute meaningfully to decisions about deployment, prioritisation and product evolution.

### Your responsibilities will include:

- Engage directly with users and stakeholders to map workflows, pain points, operational constraints and integration challenges
- Identify and frame customer problems that align with our product vision for Cobalt and Arondite’s wider autonomy software stack
- Collaborate with customers and partners to prioritise the highest-value problems to solve first
- Design and guide iterative delivery plans that reduce user pain, demonstrate value quickly and build confidence for broader deployment
- Act as the bridge between users, product and engineering so that solutions remain aligned with operational realities
- Support demonstrations, trials and pilot activities involving heterogeneous Norwegian, UK or NATO-relevant systems
- Help customers and partners understand how Cobalt can support interoperability across sensors, autonomous platforms and command-and-control workflows
- Continuously refine priorities with customers to ensure adoption, measurable impact and strong feedback loops into the product
- Champion a user-centric approach across deployment activity and the wider company
- Contribute to how Arondite develops its deployment methodology in Norway, including lessons learned from local operating conditions, security requirements and customer expectations

## Requirements

### You should have

- Technical proficiency: programming skills, a technical degree, or equivalent experience in a technology company
- Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Independent decision-making under pressure
- Willingness to travel and work on site with customers for a significant proportion of your time
- The ability to understand both software systems and operational user needs, and to translate effectively between them.
- You will be a key part of our early team in Norway, with significant opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities should you wish. Depending on your experience you may find yourself taking on a leadership role straight away.

### Ideally, you will also have

- Experience in defence or defence technology
- Experience supporting field deployments, demonstrations, pilots or operational trials
- Familiarity with autonomy, robotics, sensing, command-and-control systems, ISR workflows or systems integration
- Experience working with military, government research, or public-sector end users
- Exposure to NATO operating environments, interoperability challenges or multinational defence contexts
- A keenness to take on leadership responsibilities as the scale of our Norwegian operation grows

_Note: We want Arondite to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We do not expect everyone to have experience across each of these areas. Please apply even if you only partially fulfil this list._

### Right to work

Applicants should have the legal right to work in Norway at the time of application, or a clear and realistic route to obtaining it. Final employment arrangements will depend on the operating model used for Norway.

### Security clearance

We believe in working closely with defence customers. As a result, this role is likely to require you to hold an appropriate security clearance or be willing and able to undergo Norwegian security vetting at the relevant level. The exact clearance level, sponsorship route, eligibility requirements, expected timelines and any interim working arrangements should be confirmed before external publication of the role.

### Office vs hybrid working

We are focused on building a positive, collaborative, engineering-driven culture. We therefore believe in making the office a friendly, comfortable and productive place to be, and we try to work in person where possible. Of course, there are times when it makes sense for you to work from home, and that is fine. You may also need to travel to visit customers, partners and trial sites depending on your role. But in general you should only apply to join Arondite if you are excited to work in person by default and to spend meaningful time on site with users.

For Norway specifically, the initial operating model may involve close support from London alongside regular Norwegian presence. Over time, this role should help inform how much permanent local deployment capacity Arondite needs in market.

## Benefits

You will be one of our early team in Norway and we are still finalising our benefits package. However, as a guide, we currently intend to progressively offer the benefits below:

- Generous equity scheme in Arondite so you have a stake in the company’s growth
- 7% employer pension contribution
- Free meals
- Private health and dental insurance
- Any resources, equipment and training that you need to do your job in a world-class way
