> ARVO · Cape Town, South Africa (Hybrid) · Full-time · Posted 2026-11-05

**Salary:** unknown currency 400,000–500,000

**Workplace:** hybrid

**Department:** ARVO Client

## Description

**Location:** Cape Town (hybrid)

**Sector:** Venture & Growth Equity / Investment Management

Our client is a founder-led international investment firm opening its Cape Town office. It backs early and growth-stage businesses and runs with a small, high-calibre team where everyone owns their outcomes.

The firm is hiring its first operations hire in Cape Town: an Associate who will work side by side with the founder and the Finance Manager to keep the business running, from the founder's diary and international travel to investor onboarding and the monthly payment run.

This is a role for someone with a can-do attitude who gets things done. You don't need years of experience. You do need to be exact, quick, and the kind of person who closes loops without being chased.

### **Responsibilities**

**Founder support**

- Own the founder's calendar across UK, South African, Gulf and US time zones; schedule meetings end to end
- Take minutes and chase actions until they are closed
- Plan multi-city international trips, typically four to six a quarter

**Investor operations**

- Be the point of contact for investor onboarding: KYC/AML and subscription documents
- Keep the investor pipeline current in the firm's CRM

**Finance support (with the Finance Manager)**

- Process supplier invoices and expense claims
- Reconcile card statements and assemble the monthly payment run

**Company records**

- Keep the document trail and corporate records in order
- Track statutory deadlines

Roughly two thirds of the role is diary, travel and investor logistics; the balance is finance and company-secretarial support at preparation level.

## Requirements

**Essential**

- BCom degree, recently completed (the role includes bookkeeping)
- Evidence of excellence: strong academic results, leadership, sport, music or similar
- A clear track record of getting things done: you have run something, such as a society, team, event or business
- Exact with numbers and dates
- Very computer literate
- Clear, warm and precise in writing
- Right to work in South Africa and able to work roughly 10:00–18:00 SAST for UK overlap

**Advantageous**

- Bookkeeping or accounting exposure (Xero, Sage or similar)
- Comfort using AI tools to work faster
- Experience organising travel or events

**Qualitative fit**

- Can-do attitude; gets things done
- Discreet with confidential information
- Calm when plans change
- Notices errors before anyone else
- Takes ownership without being chased

## Benefits

**Package:** base, bonus and carried interest, on the same structure as the rest of the team.

**To apply:** submit your CV with matric and university results, leadership roles, and one example of something you made happen.
