We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Specialist Gastroenterologist** to join a leading healthcare facility in **Abu Dhabi, UAE**.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in **gastrointestinal disorders, digestive health, hepatology, and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy**. ### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage **gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic disorders**.
-   Evaluate and treat **GERD, peptic ulcer disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)**.
-   Perform **upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy** within authorized clinical privileges.
-   Conduct **endoscopic biopsies, polypectomy, and therapeutic endoscopic procedures**, where appropriately trained and credentialed.
-   Diagnose and manage **liver diseases, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and gastrointestinal infections**.
-   Evaluate patients presenting with **abdominal pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, dysphagia, and chronic digestive symptoms**.
-   Interpret diagnostic investigations, including **liver function tests, stool studies, abdominal ultrasound, CT scans, and endoscopic findings**.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans and provide long-term management for chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
-   Manage **gastrointestinal emergencies**, including acute GI bleeding, in coordination with emergency and critical care teams.
-   Collaborate with **general surgeons, hepatologists, radiologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals**.
-   Ensure compliance with **DOH regulations, endoscopy safety protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards**.

## Requirements

### **Qualification**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Internal Medicine**, followed by appropriate specialization or subspecialty training in **Gastroenterology**.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist-level qualification.
-   **American Board, UK, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications** are highly desirable.
-   Minimum **3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience** preferred, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
-   Strong expertise in **gastrointestinal disease management, diagnostic endoscopy, colonoscopy, and hepatology**.
-   Experience in **therapeutic endoscopy, ERCP, or endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)** is an added advantage.
-   Eligible for **DOH Specialist Gastroenterology classification/license** in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements and clinical privileges.
