## Description

**Job Description** – Consultant Interventional Radiologist

**Location:** Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Consultant Interventional Radiologist** to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide advanced image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, deliver high-quality patient care, and collaborate with physicians across multiple specialties to achieve optimal clinical outcomes while adhering to DOH regulations and international standards of practice.

### Responsibilities

-   Perform a comprehensive range of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures using ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI guidance.
-   Evaluate patients before procedures, obtain informed consent, and determine the most appropriate interventional treatment plan.
-   Perform procedures including but not limited to:

-   Angiography and angioplasty
-   Vascular stenting
-   Embolization procedures
-   Thrombolysis and thrombectomy
-   Image-guided biopsies and drainages
-   Central venous access and tunneled catheter placement
-   Percutaneous nephrostomy and biliary interventions
-   Tumor ablation procedures
-   Uterine fibroid embolization
-   TIPS and other advanced hepatobiliary interventions

-   Provide post-procedure monitoring and management of complications.
-   Interpret diagnostic imaging studies relevant to interventional procedures.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings including oncology, vascular surgery, hepatology, nephrology, and trauma teams.
-   Supervise and mentor radiology specialists, residents, fellows, and technologists.
-   Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, infection control, radiation safety, and quality assurance standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, research activities, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
-   Provide emergency interventional radiology services as required.

## Requirements

-   Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completion of an accredited residency in Radiology.
-   Fellowship/CCT/CCST/Arab Board/American Board/Canadian Board or equivalent recognized qualification in Interventional Radiology.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **DOH Consultant Interventional Radiology License**.
-   Minimum experience as per DOH Professional Qualification Requirements for Consultant level.
-   Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred.
