We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Radiation Oncologist** to join our multidisciplinary oncology team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive radiation oncology services, including the evaluation, treatment planning, and management of patients with benign and malignant diseases requiring radiation therapy. The Consultant Radiation Oncologist will collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care in accordance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients requiring radiation therapy for the treatment of cancer and selected benign conditions.
-   Develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on clinical assessment, imaging studies, pathology reports, and multidisciplinary recommendations.
-   Treat a broad range of malignancies, including:

-   Breast cancer
-   Lung cancer
-   Head and neck cancers
-   Gastrointestinal cancers
-   Genitourinary cancers
-   Gynecological cancers
-   Brain and central nervous system tumors
-   Lymphomas
-   Sarcomas
-   Pediatric malignancies, where applicable

-   Perform patient consultations, obtain informed consent, and provide counseling regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, and potential side effects.
-   Utilize advanced radiation therapy techniques, including:

-   Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
-   Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
-   Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)
-   Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
-   Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
-   Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy (3D-CRT)
-   Brachytherapy, where credentialed

-   Supervise CT simulation, target volume delineation, treatment planning, and treatment verification.
-   Monitor patients throughout the course of radiation therapy, manage treatment-related toxicities, and provide follow-up care.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings and collaborate with medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, palliative care specialists, physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and oncology nurses.
-   Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory requirements.
-   Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the hospital's electronic medical record system and oncology information systems.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education activities.
-   Supervise and mentor specialists, residents, fellows, medical physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and junior medical staff.
-   Participate in departmental on-call responsibilities as required.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Completion of an accredited residency or specialty training in Radiation Oncology.
-   Fellowship/CCT/CCST/Arab Board/American Board/Canadian Board or equivalent qualification recognized by the DHA for Consultant registration.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **DHA Consultant Radiation Oncologist License**.
-   Relevant post-qualification experience as per DHA Professional Qualification Requirements.
-   Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
