We are looking for an experienced **Specialist Critical Care Physician** to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing critically ill patients, advanced life-support interventions, and intensive care procedures, with a commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and multidisciplinary care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of critically ill patients in the **Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**.
-   Manage patients with **sepsis, septic shock, acute respiratory failure, ARDS, multi-organ dysfunction, and other life-threatening conditions**.
-   Provide advanced airway management, invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and respiratory support.
-   Perform critical care procedures, including **endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and other invasive interventions**, where appropriately trained and authorized.
-   Manage hemodynamically unstable patients requiring vasopressor support, fluid resuscitation, and continuous monitoring.
-   Evaluate and manage patients with complex medical, surgical, neurological, and post-operative critical care needs.
-   Participate in emergency resuscitation, rapid response interventions, and critical care consultations.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations, imaging, and continuous patient monitoring.
-   Manage sedation, analgesia, nutritional support, infection prevention, and ventilator-weaning strategies.
-   Coordinate advanced organ-support therapies, including **continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)**, where available and within the authorized scope of practice.
-   Identify and manage ICU complications, including hospital-acquired infections, delirium, and organ dysfunction.
-   Coordinate ICU admission, patient stabilization, transfer, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
-   Collaborate with anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, surgeons, nephrologists, neurologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
-   Work closely with ICU nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
-   Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding clinical conditions, treatment plans, prognosis, and critical care decisions.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **ICU protocols, infection control, clinical governance, and patient-safety standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine**, or a recognized primary specialty with appropriate subspecialty training in Critical Care.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
-   Minimum **3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience**, with substantial clinical exposure to intensive care medicine.
-   Strong clinical experience in managing critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
-   Demonstrated competence in **mechanical ventilation, advanced airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and invasive ICU procedures**.
-   Experience managing high-acuity ICU patients and responding to critical care emergencies.
-   Eligible for **MOHAP Specialist classification/license** in Sharjah, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-management skills.
