### 🩺 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon** to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital, acquired, traumatic, and reconstructive conditions requiring specialized plastic surgery. The consultant will work collaboratively with pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, craniofacial surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT specialists, dermatologists, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose, evaluate, and manage congenital and acquired pediatric plastic surgery conditions.
-   Perform reconstructive and corrective surgical procedures for infants, children, and adolescents.
-   Manage congenital anomalies including cleft lip and palate, craniofacial abnormalities, congenital hand deformities, vascular anomalies, and skin lesions.
-   Perform reconstructive surgery following trauma, burns, infections, and tumor excision.
-   Treat pediatric soft tissue injuries and complex wound reconstruction.
-   Perform scar revision, skin grafting, local and regional flap reconstruction, and microsurgical procedures where applicable.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary pediatric teams.
-   Provide comprehensive preoperative assessment, operative management, and postoperative follow-up care.
-   Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, expected outcomes, and long-term care.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, case discussions, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
-   Supervise junior physicians, residents, fellows, and medical students.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and international standards.
-   Participate in clinical research, teaching, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
-   Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and healthcare quality standards.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by the relevant UAE health authority.
-   Completion of an accredited residency in Plastic Surgery.
-   Fellowship or subspecialty training in Pediatric Plastic Surgery, Craniofacial Surgery, or Pediatric Reconstructive Surgery.
-   Board Certification or equivalent specialist qualification recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
-   Eligibility for or possession of a DHA, DOH, or MOHAP Consultant License.

### Experience

-   Minimum **3–5 years** of post-board/fellowship experience as a Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon (or as required by UAE licensing regulations).
-   Extensive experience in pediatric reconstructive and congenital plastic surgery.
-   Experience in cleft lip and palate surgery, craniofacial reconstruction, congenital hand surgery, burn reconstruction, and pediatric trauma reconstruction is highly desirable.
-   Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary pediatric hospitals is preferred.
-   Demonstrated expertise in multidisciplinary pediatric surgical care.

-   Active involvement in clinical research, publications, and medical education.
