### **We're Hiring | Consultant Neurologist – Epileptologist – Abu Dhabi, UAE**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Neurologist – Epileptologist** to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized neurological care with a focus on epilepsy diagnosis, advanced management, and comprehensive treatment planning for patients with seizure disorders.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Diagnose and manage patients with epilepsy and complex seizure disorders across adult and/or pediatric populations.
-   Evaluate patients with:

-   New-onset seizures
-   Drug-resistant epilepsy
-   Focal and generalized epilepsy
-   Epileptic syndromes
-   Status epilepticus
-   Seizure-related neurological conditions

-   Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
-   Interpret and utilize diagnostic investigations including:

-   EEG and video EEG monitoring
-   Brain MRI and neuroimaging
-   Neurophysiological studies
-   Laboratory investigations and genetic evaluations where applicable

-   Optimize anti-seizure medication management and provide guidance on advanced epilepsy therapies.
-   Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurophysiologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and multidisciplinary epilepsy teams.
-   Participate in epilepsy MDT meetings and contribute to complex case discussions.
-   Provide patient and family counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, and long-term care.
-   Maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with DOH standards and hospital policies.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
-   Mentor junior physicians and contribute to teaching and clinical service development.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Requirements**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Board Certification / Fellowship / recognized postgraduate qualification in **Neurology**.
-   Advanced fellowship training or subspecialty expertise in **Epileptology / Epilepsy Medicine** preferred.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of post-specialization experience** at Consultant level.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **Department of Health (DOH) – Abu Dhabi** Consultant license.
-   Strong expertise in epilepsy diagnosis, EEG interpretation, and management of complex seizure disorders.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-   Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered neurological care.

### **Preferred Candidate Profile**

-   Experience working in internationally accredited neurology centers or tertiary hospitals.
-   Expertise in video EEG monitoring, epilepsy surgery evaluation, and advanced epilepsy management is an advantage.
-   UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
-   Strong interest in clinical research and academic contribution.
