We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive ophthalmic care to infants, children, and adolescents, with a focus on the diagnosis and management of pediatric eye disorders and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage pediatric ophthalmic conditions, including strabismus, amblyopia, refractive errors, congenital eye disorders, and pediatric cataracts.
-   Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for infants, children, and adolescents.
-   Perform and interpret pediatric ophthalmic assessments and diagnostic investigations.
-   Manage complex pediatric eye conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
-   Perform appropriate pediatric ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the scope of practice.
-   Provide surgical and non-surgical management of strabismus and other pediatric eye disorders.
-   Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, neurologists, and other specialists when required.
-   Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and follow-up care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicable.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   **Medical degree** (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
-   **Recognized postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology.**
-   Additional fellowship or advanced training in **Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus** is highly desirable.
-   Eligible for or holding a valid **DHA Consultant license/eligibility** in the relevant specialty.
-   Demonstrated experience in pediatric ophthalmology, including the management of complex cases.
-   Strong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and communication skills.
-   Ability to work effectively with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
-   Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
