### **We're Hiring | Consultant Psychiatrist – UAE**

We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate **Consultant Psychiatrist** to join a leading healthcare provider in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental status examinations.
-   Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, including:

-   Depression
-   Anxiety disorders
-   Bipolar disorder
-   Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders
-   Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-   Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
-   Personality disorders
-   Substance use disorders
-   Sleep disorders

-   Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
-   Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while ensuring patient safety.
-   Provide crisis intervention and manage psychiatric emergencies when required.
-   Deliver psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and counseling to patients and their families, where appropriate.
-   Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment planning.
-   Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, Continuing Medical Education (CME), and research activities.
-   Mentor junior medical staff and contribute to departmental education and service development

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Requirements**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized **Consultant Psychiatry** qualification.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of post-specialization experience** at the Consultant level.
-   Eligibility for or possession of the relevant UAE medical license (**DHA, DOH, or MOH**, depending on the location).
-   Strong expertise in adult psychiatry; subspecialty experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, or Forensic Psychiatry is an advantage.
-   Excellent communication, empathy, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
-   Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered mental healthcare.

### **Preferred Candidate Profile**

-   Experience working in internationally accredited hospitals or specialized mental health centers.
-   UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
-   Strong commitment to multidisciplinary care, patient safety, and continuous professional development.
