### **We're Hiring | Specialist Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Physician – Sharjah, UAE**

📍 **Location:** Sharjah

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Specialist Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Physician** to join a leading healthcare provider in Sharjah, UAE. The successful candidate will provide expert critical care services to adult patients with life-threatening medical and surgical conditions while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
-   Provide comprehensive critical care for patients with:

-   Sepsis and septic shock
-   Acute respiratory failure
-   Multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS)
-   Cardiac emergencies
-   Neurological emergencies
-   Trauma and post-operative critical care
-   Acute renal failure and metabolic emergencies

-   Perform and supervise critical care procedures, including:

-   Endotracheal intubation and airway management
-   Central venous and arterial line insertion
-   Mechanical ventilation management
-   Hemodynamic monitoring
-   Bedside ultrasound (where credentialed)
-   Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

-   Lead rapid response and resuscitation efforts for critically ill patients.
-   Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, internists, cardiologists, nephrologists, and other specialists.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and develop individualized treatment plans.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
-   Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical governance standards.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
-   Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education and training.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Requirements**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Board Certification, Fellowship, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized **Specialist qualification in Intensive Care Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine** with ICU experience.
-   Minimum **3–5 years of post-specialization experience** in an Intensive Care Unit.
-   Eligibility for or possession of the relevant **UAE medical license** to practice in Sharjah.
-   Strong expertise in critical care medicine, ventilator management, invasive procedures, and emergency resuscitation.
-   Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
-   Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered critical care.

### **Preferred Candidate Profile**

-   Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary care hospitals.
-   UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
-   Additional certifications such as **FCCS, EDIC, FCCM, or ECMO training** are an advantage.
