We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Specialist Vascular Surgeon** to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of vascular diseases, including arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular disorders. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent surgical skills, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered vascular care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of **arterial, venous, and lymphatic vascular disorders**.
-   Evaluate and manage **peripheral arterial disease (PAD), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, and vascular aneurysms**.
-   Perform open vascular surgical procedures and minimally invasive endovascular interventions within authorized clinical privileges.
-   Manage patients with **acute and chronic limb ischemia, vascular occlusive diseases, and diabetic vascular complications**.
-   Perform appropriate vascular procedures, including **vascular bypass surgery, thrombectomy, embolectomy, and vascular reconstruction**, where appropriately trained.
-   Conduct **endovascular procedures**, including angioplasty, stenting, and other catheter-based vascular interventions, where appropriately credentialed.
-   Evaluate and manage **carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and complex peripheral vascular conditions**.
-   Provide assessment and surgical management of **vascular access for hemodialysis**, including arteriovenous fistula creation and revision.
-   Interpret relevant vascular investigations, including **Doppler ultrasound, duplex scanning, CT angiography, MR angiography, and conventional angiography**.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, vascular imaging, and patient risk factors.
-   Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessment, surgical planning, informed consent, and post-operative follow-up.
-   Identify and manage vascular surgical complications, including bleeding, thrombosis, graft complications, and post-operative infections.
-   Participate in emergency vascular consultations and management of acute vascular conditions.
-   Collaborate with interventional radiologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
-   Provide preventive vascular care and patient education regarding lifestyle modification, cardiovascular risk factors, and long-term vascular health.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **DOH regulations, vascular surgical protocols, infection control, and patient-safety standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Vascular Surgery**, or General Surgery followed by recognized advanced subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
-   Fellowship or advanced training in **Vascular and Endovascular Surgery** is highly desirable.
-   Minimum **3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience** in Vascular Surgery is preferred.
-   Strong surgical experience in managing **arterial, venous, and peripheral vascular diseases**.
-   Demonstrated competence in **open vascular surgery, vascular reconstruction, and endovascular interventions**, according to training and clinical privileges.
-   Experience managing complex vascular cases and vascular surgical emergencies.
-   Eligible for **DOH Specialist Vascular Surgery classification/license** in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent surgical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-management skills.
