We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Specialist Endocrinologist** to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah, UAE.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, hormonal imbalances, and complex endocrine conditions. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based endocrine care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of patients with **endocrine and metabolic disorders**.
-   Evaluate and manage **Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes mellitus, gestational diabetes, and diabetes-related complications**.
-   Diagnose and treat **thyroid disorders**, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and thyroiditis.
-   Assess and manage **pituitary, adrenal, parathyroid, and other hormonal disorders**.
-   Provide comprehensive care for patients with **obesity, metabolic syndrome, dyslipidemia, and insulin resistance**.
-   Diagnose and manage endocrine conditions such as **polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), osteoporosis, and calcium metabolism disorders**.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, laboratory investigations, imaging, and evidence-based guidelines.
-   Interpret relevant investigations, including **hormonal profiles, HbA1c, thyroid function tests, dynamic endocrine testing, and endocrine imaging**.
-   Initiate and monitor appropriate medical therapies, including insulin treatment and other endocrine medications.
-   Manage patients requiring advanced diabetes care, including **continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pump therapy**, where appropriately trained.
-   Evaluate and manage complex or uncontrolled diabetes and associated cardiovascular, renal, and neurological complications.
-   Provide preventive endocrine care, risk assessment, and early identification of metabolic disorders.
-   Coordinate appropriate referrals for thyroid surgery, endocrine surgery, and other specialized interventions.
-   Collaborate with cardiologists, nephrologists, ophthalmologists, gynecologists, dietitians, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
-   Educate patients regarding diabetes self-management, medication adherence, nutrition, lifestyle modification, and long-term disease prevention.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **MOHAP regulations, clinical governance, and patient-safety standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, teaching, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Internal Medicine**, followed by appropriate subspecialty training in **Endocrinology / Diabetes & Metabolism**, or an equivalent recognized pathway.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
-   Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in **Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism** is highly desirable.
-   Minimum **3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience** in Endocrinology is preferred.
-   Strong clinical experience in managing **diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, metabolic diseases, and complex endocrine conditions**.
-   Demonstrated competence in interpreting hormonal investigations and managing endocrine emergencies.
-   Experience in advanced diabetes management, including CGM and insulin pump therapy, is an advantage.
-   Eligible for **MOHAP Specialist Endocrinology classification/license** in Sharjah, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-management skills.
