We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Western-trained Podiatrist** to join our healthcare team in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide specialized assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of foot, ankle, and lower limb conditions. The Podiatrist will deliver evidence-based podiatric care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients in improving mobility, function, and overall quality of life in accordance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, including:

-   Diabetic foot complications
-   Sports-related foot and ankle injuries
-   Plantar fasciitis
-   Heel pain and biomechanical disorders
-   Ingrown toenails
-   Fungal and skin conditions of the feet
-   Corns, calluses, and pressure lesions
-   Foot deformities
-   Gait abnormalities
-   Arthritis-related foot conditions
-   Neuropathy-related foot problems

-   Perform comprehensive podiatric assessments, including:

-   Foot and ankle examinations
-   Biomechanical assessments
-   Gait analysis
-   Vascular and neurological assessments
-   Pressure and risk assessments for diabetic foot patients

-   Provide treatment plans including:

-   Foot care and wound management
-   Orthotic assessment and prescription
-   Custom insole recommendations
-   Nail and skin procedures
-   Foot rehabilitation programs
-   Preventive care and patient education

-   Manage diabetic foot care pathways, including wound prevention, ulcer management, and coordination with multidisciplinary diabetic care teams.
-   Perform minor podiatric procedures within scope of practice, including:

-   Nail surgery
-   Treatment of skin and nail lesions
-   Debridement and wound care procedures

-   Provide advice regarding footwear selection, lifestyle modification, and prevention of recurrent foot problems.
-   Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, endocrinologists, vascular surgeons, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records using electronic medical record systems.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and continuing professional development programs.
-   Educate patients and healthcare staff regarding foot health, diabetic foot prevention, and best practices.
-   Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Podiatry / Podiatric Medicine from an accredited institution.
-   Valid professional registration/license from a recognized Western healthcare regulatory authority (e.g., UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or equivalent).
-   Western-trained Podiatrist with relevant clinical experience.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **DHA Podiatrist License**.
-   Relevant post-qualification experience as per DHA Professional Qualification Requirements.
-   Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
