### 🩺 Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon** to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical management of adult and/or pediatric cardiac and thoracic diseases, delivering advanced surgical care while working collaboratively with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, pulmonologists, perfusionists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose, evaluate, and surgically manage patients with congenital and acquired cardiac and thoracic diseases.
-   Perform advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair and replacement, aortic surgery, thoracic tumor resections, lung resections, and minimally invasive cardiothoracic procedures where appropriate.
-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, risk evaluations, and surgical planning.
-   Provide postoperative management, including coordination with cardiac intensive care and rehabilitation teams.
-   Manage surgical emergencies involving cardiac and thoracic conditions.
-   Collaborate closely with cardiologists, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists to deliver multidisciplinary patient care.
-   Participate in Heart Team meetings, multidisciplinary case discussions, and clinical governance activities.
-   Interpret advanced diagnostic investigations, including echocardiography, CT, MRI, cardiac catheterization, and other relevant imaging studies.
-   Ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and international surgical guidelines.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and operative records in accordance with hospital policies.
-   Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
-   Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, fellows, and allied healthcare professionals.

## Requirements

### Qualifications & Requirement

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by the relevant UAE health authority.
-   Completion of an accredited residency in General Surgery or Cardiothoracic Surgery, followed by advanced specialty training in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
-   Board Certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery recognized under the UAE Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
-   Eligibility for or possession of a DHA, DOH, or MOHAP Consultant License.

### Experience

-   Minimum **3–5 years** of post-board/fellowship experience as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon (or as required by UAE licensing regulations).
-   Extensive experience performing complex adult and/or pediatric cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures.
-   Experience in minimally invasive and advanced cardiothoracic surgery is highly desirable.
-   Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary cardiac centers is preferred.
-   Demonstrated expertise in multidisciplinary cardiothoracic patient management.

-   Active involvement in clinical research, publications, and medical education.
