We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled **Consultant Pediatric Surgeon** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care to infants, children, and adolescents, managing a broad range of congenital, developmental, and acquired surgical conditions while ensuring safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Diagnose and manage pediatric surgical conditions in infants, children, and adolescents.
-   Perform elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures within the scope of practice.
-   Manage congenital anomalies, abdominal conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, and other pediatric surgical conditions.
-   Perform appropriate minimally invasive and open surgical procedures, where qualified.
-   Evaluate and manage pediatric patients requiring preoperative and postoperative care.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
-   Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and other specialists.
-   Provide surgical consultations and second opinions for complex pediatric cases.
-   Counsel parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, risks, and expected outcomes.
-   Ensure appropriate perioperative management, patient safety, and infection-control practices.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and facility policies.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and teaching activities where applicable.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   **Medical degree** (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
-   **Recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery and/or Pediatric Surgery**, in accordance with applicable UAE licensing requirements.
-   Additional fellowship or advanced training in **Pediatric Surgery** is highly desirable.
-   Eligible for or holding a valid **DHA Consultant license/eligibility** in the relevant specialty.
-   Demonstrated experience in pediatric surgical procedures and the management of complex pediatric cases.
-   Strong clinical, surgical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
-   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children and their families.
-   Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
-   Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
