### **We're Hiring | Consultant Neurologist – Epileptology – Abu Dhabi, UAE**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Neurologist with expertise in Epileptology** to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized neurological care with a focus on the diagnosis and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders while working within a multidisciplinary neuroscience team.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, with a special focus on:

-   Epilepsy and seizure disorders
-   Drug-resistant epilepsy
-   Complex epilepsy syndromes
-   Status epilepticus management
-   Adult and adolescent seizure disorders

-   Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments, including history taking, neurological examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic investigations.
-   Develop individualized treatment plans involving anti-seizure medications, lifestyle modifications, and advanced therapeutic options where appropriate.
-   Evaluate patients for epilepsy surgery and other advanced epilepsy management pathways.
-   Interpret and utilize diagnostic tools, including:

-   EEG monitoring
-   Video EEG
-   Brain MRI
-   Neuroimaging studies
-   Neurophysiological investigations

-   Manage pre-operative and post-operative epilepsy cases in collaboration with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
-   Provide patient and family education regarding seizure management, medication adherence, and safety measures.
-   Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neurophysiologists, psychiatrists, pediatric neurologists, and other specialists.
-   Participate in epilepsy multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, clinical audits, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
-   Mentor junior physicians and contribute to departmental education and service development.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Requirements**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized **Consultant qualification in Neurology**.
-   Additional fellowship or advanced training in **Epileptology / Epilepsy Medicine** is highly preferred.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of post-specialization experience** at Consultant level.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **Department of Health (DOH) – Abu Dhabi Consultant license**.
-   Proven expertise in epilepsy diagnosis, management, EEG interpretation, and complex seizure disorders.
-   Excellent communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
-   Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based neurological care.

### **Preferred Candidate Profile**

-   Experience working in internationally accredited tertiary neuroscience centers.
-   Expertise in epilepsy monitoring units (EMU), video EEG, epilepsy surgery evaluation, or neuromodulation therapies is an advantage.
-   UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
-   Strong commitment to research, teaching, and continuous professional development.
