## Description

**Job Description** – Consultant Radiologist

**Location:** Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Radiologist** to join our healthcare team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnostic imaging services, interpret a wide range of radiological studies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient management. The Consultant Radiologist will ensure high standards of patient care while complying with DOH regulations and international best practices.

### Responsibilities

-   Interpret and report a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging studies, including:

-   X-rays
-   Ultrasound
-   Computed Tomography (CT)
-   Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
-   Mammography
-   Fluoroscopy
-   Bone densitometry (DEXA), where applicable

-   Perform and supervise image-guided diagnostic procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages, where credentialed.
-   Provide timely and accurate radiology reports to support clinical decision-making.
-   Collaborate with physicians from emergency medicine, surgery, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and other specialties.
-   Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to discuss complex clinical cases.
-   Ensure adherence to radiation safety standards and quality assurance protocols.
-   Maintain high-quality documentation and reporting within the hospital's electronic medical record system.
-   Provide consultation to referring physicians regarding appropriate imaging modalities and findings.
-   Supervise and mentor radiology specialists, residents, fellows, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
-   Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research, and continuing medical education activities.
-   Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards.
-   Participate in the departmental on-call rota as required.

## Requirements

-   MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
-   Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
-   Fellowship/CCT/CCST/Arab Board/American Board/Canadian Board or equivalent qualification recognized by DOH for Consultant registration.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **DOH Consultant Radiologist License**.
-   Relevant post-qualification experience as per DOH Professional Qualification Requirements.
-   Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
