We are looking for experienced **Consultant and Specialist Anesthesiologists** to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in perioperative anesthesia, advanced airway management, patient monitoring, and the management of complex surgical cases, with a commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality anesthetic care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive **pre-anesthetic assessment, anesthesia planning, and perioperative management** for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures.
-   Administer and manage **general, regional, and local anesthesia**, as appropriate to clinical training and privileges.
-   Conduct detailed pre-operative evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, risk assessment, and review of relevant investigations.
-   Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient condition, surgical requirements, and clinical risk factors.
-   Perform **advanced airway management**, including endotracheal intubation, supraglottic airway placement, and difficult airway management.
-   Provide appropriate anesthesia for **elective and emergency surgical procedures** across relevant surgical specialties.
-   Perform regional anesthesia techniques, including **spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and peripheral nerve blocks**, where appropriately trained.
-   Monitor and maintain cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic stability throughout surgical procedures.
-   Manage intraoperative complications, including hypotension, arrhythmias, allergic reactions, difficult airways, and other anesthesia-related emergencies.
-   Provide appropriate sedation and anesthesia support for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
-   Oversee post-anesthesia recovery, pain management, and patient stabilization in the **Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)**.
-   Participate in emergency resuscitation and perioperative critical care management when required.
-   Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
-   Supervise and mentor junior physicians, anesthesia technicians, and other clinical staff according to the professional grade.
-   Educate patients regarding anesthesia options, procedural risks, informed consent, and post-operative recovery.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **anesthesia safety protocols, infection control, and clinical governance standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, research, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Anesthesiology / Anesthesia**.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
-   Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Anesthesiology is highly desirable for Consultant applicants.
-   **Consultant:** Preferably 5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex anesthesia cases.
-   **Specialist:** Preferably a minimum of 3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience.
-   Strong clinical experience in **general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, perioperative medicine, and airway management**.
-   Demonstrated competence in managing high-risk surgical patients and anesthesia-related emergencies.
-   Experience in advanced monitoring, postoperative pain management, and multidisciplinary perioperative care.
-   Eligible for **DOH Consultant or Specialist classification/license** in Abu Dhabi, as applicable, subject to qualification and experience assessment under the UAE PQR.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and patient-management skills.
