### **We're Hiring | Consultant Pediatric Surgeon – Abu Dhabi, UAE**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Pediatric Surgeon** to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents, managing a wide range of congenital, acquired, and emergency surgical conditions with a patient-centered approach.

### **Key Responsibilities**

-   Diagnose and manage pediatric surgical conditions in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
-   Perform a wide range of pediatric surgical procedures, including:

-   Congenital anomaly correction
-   Neonatal surgery
-   Pediatric abdominal surgery
-   Hernia repair and abdominal wall procedures
-   Appendectomy and bowel surgery
-   Pediatric urological procedures (where credentialed)
-   Minimally invasive/laparoscopic pediatric surgery
-   Trauma and emergency pediatric surgical interventions

-   Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and provide post-operative care.
-   Manage complex pediatric surgical cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
-   Provide family counseling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, and follow-up care.
-   Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, intensivists, radiologists, and other specialists.
-   Participate in pediatric surgical multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and clinical discussions.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
-   Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and contribute to departmental education and service development.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications & Requirements**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
-   Board Certification, Fellowship, or equivalent recognized **Consultant qualification in Pediatric Surgery**.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of post-specialization experience** at Consultant level.
-   Eligibility for or possession of a **Department of Health (DOH) – Abu Dhabi Consultant license**.
-   Extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal surgical procedures.
-   Strong clinical decision-making, surgical expertise, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
-   Excellent communication skills with children, families, and healthcare teams.
-   Commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered pediatric surgical care.

### **Preferred Candidate Profile**

-   Experience working in internationally accredited children’s hospitals or tertiary pediatric surgical centers.
-   Fellowship training or expertise in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, neonatal surgery, pediatric urology, or pediatric oncology surgery is an advantage.
-   UAE or GCC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
