A leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Specialist Emergency Medicine physician to join its Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions while ensuring timely, evidence-based, and patient-centered emergency care.

## Key Responsibilities

1.  Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies.
    
2.  Provide immediate resuscitation and stabilization for critically ill and injured patients.
    
3.  Perform emergency procedures, including airway management, intubation, wound management, and vascular access, within approved clinical privileges.
    
4.  Manage cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, stroke, sepsis, shock, and other life-threatening conditions.
    
5.  Conduct comprehensive clinical examinations and interpret laboratory investigations, ECGs, and diagnostic imaging.
    
6.  Develop and implement appropriate emergency treatment plans based on patient conditions.
    
7.  Coordinate patient admissions, referrals, transfers, and discharges with relevant medical departments.
    
8.  Collaborate with emergency physicians, nurses, paramedics, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
    
9.  Ensure effective triage, patient flow, and timely emergency interventions.
    
10.  Maintain compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards.
     
11.  Maintain accurate medical documentation and participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuous professional development.

## Requirements

## Qualifications & Requirements

-   MBBS/MBChB or equivalent recognized medical qualification.
    
-   Recognized postgraduate specialization in Emergency Medicine.
    
-   Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification in Emergency Medicine.
    
-   Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or Eligibility, or eligibility to obtain one.
    
-   Relevant post-specialization clinical experience meeting UAE PQR requirements for the Specialist title.
    
-   Valid ACLS certification; ATLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
    
-   Strong expertise in emergency resuscitation, trauma management, and critical patient stabilization.
    
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and decision-making skills.
