We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced **Consultant Critical Care** to join a leading healthcare facility in **Abu Dhabi, UAE**.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in **intensive care management, advanced life support, mechanical ventilation, and the treatment of critically ill patients**. ### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of **critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**.
-   Manage patients with **sepsis, septic shock, respiratory failure, ARDS, and multiorgan dysfunction**.
-   Provide advanced respiratory support, including **invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation**.
-   Perform **endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and other critical care procedures**, within authorized clinical privileges.
-   Manage hemodynamically unstable patients requiring **vasopressors, advanced monitoring, and organ support**.
-   Lead emergency resuscitation and coordinate the stabilization of critically ill patients.
-   Interpret diagnostic investigations, including **arterial blood gases, ECG, laboratory tests, CT scans, and bedside ultrasound**.
-   Develop individualized critical care treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelines.
-   Collaborate with **anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, surgeons, and other multidisciplinary specialists**.
-   Supervise and mentor junior physicians, ICU nurses, and critical care team members.
-   Ensure compliance with **DOH regulations, ICU protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards**.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Critical Care Medicine / Intensive Care Medicine**, or an accepted primary specialty with advanced critical care training.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification.
-   **American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications** are highly desirable.
-   Minimum **5–10 years of relevant post-specialization experience** preferred.
-   Strong expertise in **mechanical ventilation, advanced airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical patient stabilization**.
-   Valid **ACLS certification** or equivalent is preferred.
-   Eligible for **DOH Consultant Critical Care classification/license** in Abu Dhabi, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements.
