We are looking for an experienced **Specialist Emergency Medicine Physician** to join a leading healthcare facility in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and management of patients presenting with acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, and life-threatening emergencies, with a commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety, and high-quality emergency care.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting to the **Emergency Department (ED)**.
-   Evaluate and manage **acute medical, surgical, traumatic, and life-threatening emergencies**.
-   Perform rapid triage, clinical assessment, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients.
-   Manage patients with **cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, stroke, sepsis, shock, and other acute medical conditions**.
-   Provide advanced resuscitation, airway management, and emergency life-support interventions.
-   Perform emergency procedures, including **endotracheal intubation, vascular access, wound management, suturing, and other emergency interventions**, where appropriately trained and authorized.
-   Assess and manage trauma patients, including fractures, dislocations, head injuries, and other traumatic conditions.
-   Diagnose and manage common emergency presentations, including chest pain, abdominal pain, altered consciousness, acute infections, and neurological emergencies.
-   Interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including **ECG, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, and laboratory results**.
-   Initiate appropriate emergency treatment protocols and coordinate timely specialist referrals.
-   Manage pediatric and adult emergency cases within the authorized scope of practice.
-   Participate in **cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and trauma resuscitation**.
-   Coordinate patient admission, observation, transfer, or discharge based on clinical assessment and treatment response.
-   Collaborate with intensivists, cardiologists, surgeons, neurologists, anesthesiologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
-   Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, emergency interventions, and follow-up care.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **emergency department protocols, infection control, clinical governance, and patient-safety standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, simulation training, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Emergency Medicine**.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
-   Minimum **3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience** in Emergency Medicine.
-   Strong clinical experience in managing acute medical, surgical, and trauma emergencies.
-   Demonstrated competence in **advanced airway management, emergency resuscitation, trauma care, and emergency procedures**.
-   Experience managing high-acuity emergency department patients.
-   Valid **BLS and ACLS certification**; ATLS and PALS certification are highly desirable.
-   Eligible for **MOHAP Specialist classification/license** in Sharjah, subject to applicable qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
