We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Specialist Anesthesiologist** to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have internationally recognized qualifications, preferably obtained through **Western or European medical training pathways**, with strong expertise in perioperative anesthesia, advanced airway management, and the management of complex surgical cases.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality anesthetic care in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

### Key Responsibilities

-   Provide comprehensive **pre-anesthetic assessment, anesthesia planning, and perioperative management** for patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures.
-   Administer **general, regional, and local anesthesia** according to clinical requirements and authorized privileges.
-   Conduct detailed pre-operative evaluations, including medical history, physical examination, risk assessment, and review of relevant investigations.
-   Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient conditions, surgical complexity, and clinical risk factors.
-   Perform **advanced airway management**, including endotracheal intubation, supraglottic airway placement, and difficult airway interventions.
-   Manage anesthesia for elective and emergency surgical procedures across relevant surgical specialties.
-   Perform regional anesthesia techniques, including **spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and peripheral nerve blocks**, where appropriately trained.
-   Monitor and maintain cardiovascular, respiratory, and hemodynamic stability throughout surgical procedures.
-   Identify and manage intraoperative complications, including hypotension, arrhythmias, allergic reactions, and anesthesia-related emergencies.
-   Provide sedation and anesthesia support for diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures.
-   Manage post-anesthesia recovery, pain control, and patient stabilization in the **Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)**.
-   Participate in emergency resuscitation and perioperative critical care management when required.
-   Interpret relevant clinical investigations and advanced perioperative monitoring data.
-   Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
-   Provide appropriate patient counseling regarding anesthesia options, procedural risks, informed consent, and post-operative recovery.
-   Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with **anesthesia safety protocols, infection control, and clinical governance standards**.
-   Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, teaching, and CME activities.

## Requirements

### **Qualifications**

-   MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree.
-   Recognized postgraduate qualification in **Anesthesiology / Anesthesia**.
-   Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification.
-   **Western or European postgraduate medical training and qualifications are strongly preferred.**
-   Minimum **3–5 years of relevant post-specialization experience** in Anesthesiology.
-   Strong clinical experience in **general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, perioperative medicine, and airway management**.
-   Demonstrated competence in managing high-risk surgical patients and anesthesia-related emergencies.
-   Experience with advanced anesthesia monitoring and post-operative pain management.
-   Eligible for **DHA Specialist classification/license** in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR qualification and experience requirements.
-   Excellent communication, teamwork, clinical decision-making, and patient-management skills.
