**The Role:** 

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic is responsible for maintaining ATC’s fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness within a modern, state-of-the-art workshop environment. 

**Responsibilities:** 

-   Maintenance and repair of HGVs, trailers, and vans 

-   Routine servicing and CVRT preparation 

-   12/13-week inspections 

-   Diagnostics and fault finding 

-   Preventative maintenance scheduling 

-   Tail lift inspections and tyre coordination 

-   Maintain records and reports 

-   Support apprentice development-  

-   Maintain clean and safe work environment

## Requirements

**About you:**

-   Qualified HGV Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. 

-   Strong diagnostic abilities with a high standard of technical competence. 

-   Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team 

-   Strong IT and reporting skills. 

-   Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a strong work ethic. 

-   Excellent timekeeping and reliability. 

-   Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently. 

-   Experience with MAN, DAF, Mercedes, Volvo, Scania; Krone/Schmitz trailers; Dhollandia tail lifts; and auto‑electrical/telematics systems (desirable).
