## Description

**Job Overview**

Engineering Lab Technician responsible for supporting lab operations, maintaining equipment, assisting in experiments, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

1.  Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and instruments across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, civil, and materials engineering.
2.  Support engineers and researchers in conducting experiments, tests, and analyses. This includes preparing samples, setting up experiments, monitoring processes, and recording data.
3.  Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment. Coordinate with vendors for repairs and calibrations as needed.
4.  Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols. Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
5.  Monitor and manage lab supplies and inventory. Order and restock materials and equipment as necessary.
6.  Work closely with engineers, researchers, and other lab technicians to support ongoing projects and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
7.  Provide guidance and training to new lab personnel and interns. Supervise and assist with their tasks to ensure adherence to lab protocols.

## Requirements

**Qualifications**

-   Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, Laboratory Science
-   Professional certificates in related field is preferred.

**Experience Required**

-   Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
-   Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
-   Knowledge of relevant software and data analysis tools.
-   Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently

 **Skills and Competencies Required**

-   High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, especially in data recording and analysis.
-   Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
-   Ability to lift and move equipment and materials weighing up to 22 Kg.
-   Comfortable working in a lab environment that may require standing for extended periods.
