## Description

Job Summary We are seeking a precise and reliable Window and Door Fitter to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to remove existing windows and doors and install high-quality uPVC replacements in residential properties. You will ensure a flawless, energy-efficient fit, deliver clean internal and external finishes, and maintain high standards of customer service while working on-site.

Key Responsibilities

· Removal & Preparation: Carefully remove old window and door frames, glass units, and sills without causing unnecessary structural damage to the surrounding masonry or plasterwork.

· Precision Installation: Position, level, and plumb new frames (uPVC, aluminium, composite, and timber) accurately before securing them mechanically into the building structure.

· Insulation & Weatherproofing: Apply expanding foam insulation, backing rods, and high-grade external sealants to eliminate drafts, maximize thermal efficiency, and guarantee a completely weather-tight seal.

· Finishing & Trim Work: Install internal architraves, window boards, and external uPVC trims or sand-and-cement pointing to leave a seamless, professionally finished appearance.

· Testing & Quality Control: Check that all opening sashes and doors operate smoothly, adjust hinges and locking mechanisms for optimal compression, and ensure compliance with building regulations (such as ventilation and fire escape requirements).
