## Description

The Mechanical Fitter is responsible for the maintenance, repair, installation, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment within a cereal seed processing facility. The role ensures that plant machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production targets, quality standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

## Requirements

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**

-   Good level of English-speaking ability and communication skills
-   Works well in a team environment.
-   Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Maintenance Technician, or equivalent trade certification.
-   Minimum 3 years' experience, preferably in a feed mill or seed/grain handling plant.
-   Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
-   Experience with bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, chain drives, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
-   Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals.
-   Welding and fabrication experience.
-   Ability to drive counter balance forklifts and high reach or competence that can drive these.
-   Willingness to carry out general operative duties when not repair equipment is essential.
