## Description

## Key Responsibilities

-   Set up and operate robotic welding machines and automated welding systems.
    
-   Load and unload components into robotic welding fixtures.
    
-   Select and run the correct welding programmes for specific components.
    
-   Monitor robotic welding cycles to ensure consistent production output.
    
-   Adjust welding parameters where authorised, including voltage, wire feed speed and welding speed.
    
-   Ensure components are correctly positioned and secured before welding.
    
-   Monitor welding wire, gas supplies and consumables.
    
-   Identify and report machine faults, programming issues and production problems.
    
-   Carry out routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of robotic welding equipment.
    
-   Maintain production targets while minimising downtime and material waste.
    
-   Follow production schedules, work instructions and standard operating procedures.

## Requirements

## Training and Qualifications

-   Previous welding or fabrication experience preferred.
    
-   Robotic welding operator training desirable.
    
-   MIG/MAG welding knowledge advantageous.
    
-   Manual handling training.
    
-   Health and safety training.
    
-   Robotic cell safety training.
    
-   Ability to understand technical drawings and work instructions.
