This is a highly visible role that partners with leaders across the business to embed a proactive safety culture, enhance risk management practices, and ensure our workplace experience reflects the standards of a modern, high-performing organisation. As our subject matter expert in workplace health and safety, you'll provide strategic guidance, influence decision-making, and help shape policies, frameworks and initiatives that support our people and business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a workplace that prioritises wellbeing, accountability and operational excellence. **Best of all?** This is a flexible role requiring on-site presence in our Sydney CBD office two days per week, ideally Tuesday and Thursday, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact while maintaining work-life balance. **This Role Is Responsible For** - Championing and embedding a positive, proactive workplace safety culture across the organisation. - Providing expert advice and guidance to leaders on WHS governance, risk management and compliance obligations. - Driving WHS frameworks, audits, risk assessments and emergency preparedness initiatives. - Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes and enhance organisational resilience. - Partnering with business leaders to manage workplace risks and support informed decision-making. - Overseeing contractor, supplier and vendor governance to ensure alignment with AP+'s safety standards. - Supporting workplace experience, wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives. - Monitoring emerging risks, industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure best practice. - Leveraging data, reporting and insights to identify trends, inform strategy and drive continuous improvement. - Building trusted relationships across the business to influence outcomes and deliver sustainable change. **What You'll Bring** - Robust proven experience working in a Workplace Safety role within a professional services environment. - Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and contemporary risk management practices. - Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of an organisation. - Experience partnering with senior leaders to deliver business-focused safety outcomes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action. - Experience managing third-party providers, contractors and supplier relationships. - Excellent communication skills and the confidence to provide trusted advice and constructive challenge. - A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for creating better workplace outcomes. - A collaborative, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach. - A genuine commitment to fostering safe, inclusive and high-performing workplaces. **What Happens Next** At AP+, we believe in the power of passion, pride and purpose.
